About the Role

We are seeking a Front of House Representative who can professionally embody the spirit of omotenashi — the Japanese philosophy of wholehearted hospitality — through respectful, culturally nuanced performance. This role includes elements of kawaii (charming, emotionally engaging presentation) and an awareness that some guests may be regarded as kami (spiritual beings or deities) within our inclusive service philosophy.

This is a performance-based role, similar to acting, and does not require personal belief alignment. All expressions are part of a respectful and inclusive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with guests using culturally respectful language and gestures, including bowing and referring to guests as “Okyaku-sama.”
• Perform in a kawaii manner — cheerful, gentle, and emotionally engaging — regardless of gender identity or personal style.
• Maintain a demeanor of humility and attentiveness, elevating the status of the guest through performance.
• Roleplay with sensitivity and awareness that some guests may be regarded as kami or spiritual entities.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless and welcoming front-of-house experience.
• Adapt to diverse guest needs with empathy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Experience in performance, acting, hospitality, or customer-facing roles.
• Ability to roleplay respectfully and convincingly, regardless of personal beliefs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to inclusivity, cultural sensitivity, and emotional engagement.

Training & Onboarding

Training will be provided through our Front Lobby Design Virtual System, built using Unreal Engine. This immersive environment allows employees to practice roleplay scenarios, refine their performance style, and gain confidence in delivering culturally respectful service.
